Sunday Sixah

Sunday Sixah #2

And we’re back for another wild & crazy installment of the Sunday Sixah!

It’s been an average week here in Nutmegvilleshireston. Work and play are both abound – always too much of the former and too little of the latter, as I’m sure you’ll agree. Andy & I plan to go see Brave this week for our date night. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about both the movie itself and the Pixar short before it that I can safely say I’m pretty excited to see this one. I still have not seen The Avengers, however. Wah.

Without further ado, here are six things that have peaked my interest  on the internets this week!

1) The Sexy Hotness Sleeping Bag by Alite Designs

And here I thought I was upgrading by finally getting a caterpillar style bag with ‘vents’ and an insertable pillow! In this weird-yet-sleek sack, not only can you sleep – you can also run, jump AND kick. Stay warm, sleep tight and karate chop that racoon, all without leaving the comfort of your sleeping bag.

2) This beautifully produced short is totally worth a watch. Sand and Snow fall in love.

3) Mike Thompson is one of my favorite YouTube stars – he does all vocal (with a little post processing) covers of popular songs. I totally love his cover of P.Y.T. and his cover of Taio Cruz’s Dynamite. His latest venture sounds pretty daunting – Skrillex with Santigold all done with mixed vocals? He pulls it off, though, that clever monkey! Be warned, if you’re not used to a little American dubstep, you may not like this.

4) Another good one from Andy Paulo: the Llama Font. Type anything and you’ll get playful llamas that spell out your message. I, of course, went with the mature choice.

5) This dog. I believe he squeaks I MEAN SPEAKS for himself… *squee*

Here we have a website that is one of the many Pinterest clones, but this one has a special and worthwhile difference – saves the things you post forever. Not only that, it doesn’t need an image to save something – hell, it can save entire webpages for you. If I weren’t a Pinterest vet (3000+ pins deep), I’d be switching over right now. Perhaps they’ll come up with a way to import/export from one Pinterest clone to another?
